Wednesday was an exciting day as I finished up my last radiation treatment and got unhooked from my chemo pump. I am thankful that this round of treatment was not nearly as tough as I had anticipated. I am even more thankful for all of the love and kindness and support that has surrounded us over the past couple of months.
As wonderful as my radiation doctor is, not to mention the truly incredible radiation nurses I am happy to have my mornings back to myself again. I am looking forward to a few weeks of unencumbered life while we wait for the radiation to continue shrinking my tumor before I head into surgery in Boston on May 23rd. I have plenty of appointments scheduled over the next several weeks but we also have a couple of fun trips planned.
But what really made me happy this week, happier even than biting the butt off a chocolate bunny or celebrating my last radiation treatment was listening to Flo and Bea perform "Dear Theodosia" (from Hamilton) together on Thursday evening at their school's Celebration of the Arts.
